Our client is seeking a Business Development Manager (BDM) to grow their existing Central US and Canada business through expert discovery and exploration of new business opportunities and relationships. Our ideal candidate will be trusted to dive right in, take the lead, be curious, and use initiative to drive revenue growth and increase market share. Reporting to the Director of Sales, the BDM serves as the primary contact for new and existing customers and channel partners for sales of all healthcare industry-related product and service offerings in their territory and is responsible for building and maintaining their region. You are an experienced business development professional who possesses a business and technology background and the ability to plan a sales process and implement a sales strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Meet assigned sales targets and strategic objectives in assigned territory
- Prepare and deliver presentations and product demos for customers and channel partners online and in-person
- Proactively assess, clarify, and validate customer needs on an on-going basis
- Prepare customer proposals and respond to RFPs
- Be able to align the company value proposition to customer requirements
- Maintain an accurate sales pipeline for forecasting revenue
- Coordinate internal resources in order to meet customer and partner objectives
- Respond to internal and external inquiries regarding product orders, pricing
- Represent the company at tradeshows, conferences, and industry events
Requirements
- College or university degree from an accredited institution
- Minimum of five years of strategic technical sales experience in a business-to-business sales environment in the healthcare industry
- Must be a self-starter, curious, and a problem solver
- Ability to balance and prioritize time to deliver results in a dynamic sales environment
- Computer Literacy – Proficient with CRM software, MS Office suite including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Experience with wireless technologies, IoT, and IT systems a plus
- Ability to travel within North America up to 25 percent
- Must possess a valid motor vehicle operator’s license
